About Us

Ackerman and Niece was established in 1988 by John Adamson and his son Nicholas.

Having spent over 20 years in the domestic oil business, John wanted to use his experience to create a local, friendly domestic heating oil company that offers fair pricing and customer service to the local community.

John has now retired from the family business and handed over the reins to Nicholas, but still keeps a keen eye on the company’s development.

Nicholas is joined by Judy and Carol in the office and David, Stuart and Steve out on the road, delivering warm homes across Oxfordshire, Cotswolds, South Warwickshire, South Northants and West Buckinghamshire.
